Description

In 2004 Bauart worked on initial rehabilitation measures in the cantonal Parliament, notably with a view to the transformation of the Council chamber and adaptation of technical security installations, including the addition of an elliptical outside stairway on the north façade. In keeping with this first rehabilitation stage, two new interventions have enabled the transformation of various interior areas of the building, namely the Parliament chamber and the committee hall. The architects have opted for an understated and clearly contemporary design and the furnishings and lighting in particular have been entirely reformulated in respectful dialogue with the original building.
