Description
Two elements give a new impulse to the complex: the new healthcare center and the enlarged public space. Both create a vibrant urban place. The healthcare center is built into the existing structure in order to preserve the landmarked substance. The courtyard thus becomes the only visible element of the transformation. The plain and colorful floor covering and the illuminating ceiling compose this new space and increase its recognition value in the center of the city of Bern.
