Kathrin Merz

After studying architecture at EPFL, Kathrin worked for several years at Bonnard Woeffray Architectes, followed by around ten years at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) as a research associate in the Department of Architecture and the Competence Area for Urban Development and Infrastructure. From 2012 to 2021, she was a board member of the Architekturforum Bern, and since 2019, she has served on the Board of Trustees of the Bern Building Culture Award. In 2024, she joined the Planning and Construction Commission of the municipality of Köniz, and since 2025, she has been a member of the Architectural Design Advisory Board of the municipality of Muri-Gümligen. Kathrin has been with Bauart Architects and Planners since 2017, where she heads the Modulart Ressort. She is a member of the extended executive management team since 2022 and partner since 2026.
