Description

The Infectious Disease Institute (IFIK) at the University of Bern needs more laboratories for research and diagnostics. A temporary short-term solution was sought to accommodate changes to be made to the Inselspital site in Bern over the next few years.  The solution chosen can be disassembled at the end of its operational life and installed on another site.  2 pavilions were thus set up each consisting of 7 or 9 modules with a link-up corridor with the main building which is a classified historic site. The interior equipment of the support-free wooden modules has been adapted to scientific and medical requirements (ventilation, clinically-clean rooms, and animal facility).
