Description

The complex comprises 3 buildings with a total of 27 apartments. The architectonic concept of the Muttimatte features a clever combination of private and communal spaces. The good-sized semi-private and public areas of the residence are designed to facilitate encounters between residents and also with visitors from outside. The resident's own apartment and private exterior space guarantee privacy and an opportunity to withdraw from the public. Great attention was given to ecological construction and the use of renewable energies at the Muttimatte. The three residential blocks are built mostly of wood. Wood pellets are used as the heating fuel and the combined solar facility on the roofs supplies both hot water and electricity.
