Description

Several approaches have been looked at within the modernization project of the Cantonal parliament of Zug: construction of a new building, extension or transformation of the existing one. The latter option was preferred. Essentially, it aims at transforming the Grand council room and adapting technical security installations. The classical composition of interior walls was restored and several disturbing elements were removed. Furniture and lighting were entirely reformulated in a contemporary language. On the northern façade of the historical building, the new elliptical staircase with bronze cladding meets the requirement for emergency evacuation.
