From 20 to 24 January 2026, Switzerland's largest construction trade fair, Swissbau, will take place in Basel. In this context, the Countdown 2030 association will be based at the Swissbau Lab, hosting various events and presenting two projects by Bauart.
The ever-growing Countdown 2030 community brings together professionals from the construction sector who place the urgency of the climate and biodiversity crisis at the heart of their activities. Committed to an environmentally friendly building culture, the association will be offering a different perspective on transformation, a real lever for transition, at the Basel trade fair. Countdown 2030 will be represented by Alina Kretschmer, an active member of the association and architect in charge of climate and sustainability at Bauart. An expert in this field, she will participate in two round tables and host a conference followed by a round table in collaboration with Architektur Dialoge: ‘Re_Impulsive Architecture’ will bring together Nicolas Moreau and Hiroko Kusunoki, among others, to discuss the renovation of the Centre Pompidou. The spotlight will also be on the Brückenkopf project in Bern, which is on display at the stand and showcased as an example in the context of an anti-demolition campaign, alongside the Creative Factory project in Renens.
