Emmanuel Rey was one of the first at EPFL to bring environmental and climate issues to the realm of architecture. Today, he’s working tirelessly to forge synergies among teaching, research and practice. Simultaneously addressing issues related to architectural design, ecological transition, and climate adaptation, it is a dynamic balance between practice and academia that fuels his daily life: “My deep desire has always been to advance architectural practices. Being in the field allows me to gain experience so that I can better pass on my knowledge.”
