The existing buildings are complemented by two new volumes that follow the spatial geometry of the site. Slightly offset from each other, they create a composition with the existing structures and integrate seamlessly into the site’s scale. A subtle bend in the eastern volume marks the building entrance. Between the existing structure and the new volumes, an inner space unfolds, connecting the different building parts both horizontally and vertically. This space serves as the heart of the new Zurich Innovation Center, a defining element of its identity that functions as a platform for exchange, representation, and communication.
