The building’s morphology promotes a harmonious integration with its context, as well as the creation of a true urban hub by bringing together the three buildings dedicated to innovation around the existing tree-lined park. An architectural dialogue with the buildings of EPFL and CSEM is established through specific bands, whose sloped character allows for solar energy capture. In a spirit of synergy, particular attention is given to shared spaces, both in the public park and within the building itself, with an atrium dedicated to collaborative spaces. Numerous ecological measures shape a truly low-carbon architecture: limiting excavations, bioclimatic wooden construction, renewable energies, solar envelope on the roof and façade (BIPV), rainwater management, green space promoting encounters, biodiversity, and the reduction of heat islands.
