The City of Zurich is issuing a publication tracing the history of its school buildings over the years. Featuring among the examples mentioned is the “Züri-Modular” which was developed by Bauart from 1998 to meet the city’s needs for school structures. Since 2012, Bauart has optimized this system to create a second generation of “Züri-Modular” which satisfies ever-increasing spatial and energy requirements. This second generation offers 10% more surface and can now include up to 3 floors. The City of Zurich has some sixty “Züri-Modular” school buildings to date representing over a thousand units.
